19 year-old Wukeh Egem-Odey created a buzz when he emerged as the best graduating student in Covenant University, Ota last month. Having completed his undergraduate course in Accounting, he earned an impressive Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.89, towering above his peers in the 2012 graduating set of the University.


Hi Wukeh. Congratulations on achieving such a feat. How do you feel right now, making history as the best graduating student this year?

I feel indebted to God Almighty, and like you know, God can’t be repaid. So I feel like a debtor. God has done this marvelous thing in my life and I am truly grateful. Like you said “making history”, so I feel further challenged to forget the past and steer forward to achieve greater heights.

Weeks after releasing the first ever EME all star album, Empire Mates State of Mind . Wizkid, Banky W, Skales and other EME acts have kicked off the label’s debut US tour.

The long anticipated multi city tour began on American Independence day, Wednesday, July 4 and will end on Sunday September 2, 2012.

According to EME, the tour will cover nine states in North America including New York, Chicago, Texas, and Atlanta.

Banky W, Wizkid, Skales, Rotimi, XO and other EME stars will also touchdown in the Canadian city of Toronto.

Fire destroys Dangote Sugar Refinery in Apapa

Some parts of Dangote refinery was reported to have been totally destroyed by fire on Sunday night in Apapa.
It was also reported that the said fire lasted for more than four hours between 7pm and 11pm.
Dangote Refinery is one of the largest sugar producing companies in Africa that supplies sugar to some African countries like Ghana, Borkina- Faso and Cameron.
